I usually do VT, DP, MB, SW Death and MF before SW Pain application. The only exception is if I get a crit I will skip the MF since you get another stack of shadow weaving if you apply imp spirit tap on yourself.

I was second priest and first troll. Unfortunately I worked on Wednesday so I didn't get much sleep before release.

http://www.swdeath.com/images/news/swdnews.png Through all of the dev panels there was very little said about shadow priests, but we can come away with this. Shadow priest damage is too low on beta and they plan to raise it. Secondly, from the second class panel the devs are hap...

In a raid scenario I think it is necessary since the last thing I read says that each mana restoring ability can affect up to 10 people. and having more than one in a raid will be beneficial ( source ) Also, on solo pulls it is the only DoT that we can cast at max range with cast time to apply mise...

http://www.swdeath.com/images/news/swdarticle.png I just recently put up 1985 DPS, 740,000 total damage and 3rd on our DPS charts in our most recent M'uru kill. During this encounter I tickled 2300 DPS at some points, and got a rush thinking this may be a place no priest has gone...

1985 is the most DPS I have put out in any encounter that does not include a damage amplification component. I will outline my methods and gear for you here. Even though WWS Scoreboard has been down for a while, and doesn't even include M'uru, I have included their DPS conversion for those saying th...

I have not seen anything. I have been browsing WoW Web Stats more trying to see what numbers others are putting out, but it certainly doesn't come close to replacing what WWS Scoreboard did.

5/5 MB always has some potential to increase your overall DPS since you never have the exact same casting rotation. When you introduce movement and pushback into encounters this potential increases. I haven't looked in a while, but I think 144 haste is still the magic number that allows you to fit...

With shadow priest scaling changing every patch I don't think anyone have come up with reliable numbers. Even the most recent comments by a blue poster suggest a damage increase. Whether these come in the form of crit bonuses, changes to abilities or damage coefficients will all factor in on what ...
